Complex images and animations can be difficult for students to interpret. This workshop will highlight exciting animations from HHMI BioInteractive related to the biology of SARS-CoV-2, photosynthesis, and respiration. We’ll explore teaching strategies and tools to help students make sense of the intricate science in these examples. The workshop will also provide opportunities to share ideas and experiences with colleagues about teaching with animations. Participants will leave the workshop with research-based strategies for using exciting new multimedia.
