Fort Lauderdale, FL
Over the course of my 11-year career in higher education, my teaching interests, philosophy, and resulting pedagogical style have evolved to encompass the changing learning atmosphere. Currently, I teach at Broward College, a large state college in Broward County, Florida. I recognize that there are several ways to acquire and process information in learning situations. Each student learns in a different way, which leads to a classroom with students of different learning capabilities. My aim is to always incorporate multisensory techniques during instruction, which often includes group activities for hands-on connection to terms and concepts as well as the chance for students to learn from their peers. I love the resources that BioInteractive provides, as any of them are easily adaptable to students who need visual, kinesthetic, or auditory stimulation. When I’m not teaching, I am mommy to two kids (10 years apart) and a fur baby. I also enjoy home renovation projects and dancing (in my home).
