I currently serve as a Department Chair of Biological Sciences at Dallas College. Previously, I taught general biology, advanced cell biology, histology, and medical and research ethics at a four-year university. I enjoy utilizing BioInteractive resources with my students because it gives them a different perspective on course material. The resources do a magnificent job of bridging real-life examples to abstract concepts explained in textbooks. My favorite thing about teaching science is watching students make connections about how everyday occurrences are rooted in science. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy making lifetime memories with my young son and family. I love to travel and experience new things and places, enjoying all the world has to offer.
