I teach biology, AP Biology, and environmental science at Chugiak High School, a mid-sized public high school in Chugiak, Alaska. What I appreciate most about using BioInteractive resources in my classroom is that they give my students an opportunity to truly engage with the topic at hand. Whether through virtual labs and simulations or in-depth videos that spark discussion and further inquiry, BioInteractive resources are a significant part of my students actively engaging in the process of science. What I love most about teaching science is being part of moments of discovery when a student sees beyond the world as they previously understood it and begins to ask questions that they didn’t know they had. When not teaching I love exploring the outdoors, backcountry skiing, climbing, camping, and flying.
