I teach microbiology, virology, introductory college biology, and other molecular courses to undergraduate students at Colorado State University-Pueblo. I love helping students uncover the microbial and molecular world as the unseen biology, and making sophisticated processes and techniques accessible to all. I teach courses for first-year students and for seniors; it is rewarding to see their confidence, literacy, and reasoning skills grow from the beginning to the end. My favorite thing about using BioInteractive resources is that they are both fun and effective. Students are able to ask thoughtful questions, and retain and apply concepts easily based on the short animations and activities that we do. Outside of work, my favorite things to do are hiking, practicing violin, gardening, reading, yoga, and hanging out with my husband and my two grown daughters when they visit.
