Alexis Black

I teach AP Biology and biology at Mayfield High School, a public school in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This is my 22nd year of teaching, and I have taught at all levels of grades 6-12 in my career. I have been teaching high school for the past 12 years. My favorite aspect of using BioInteractive resources is that they are based on real science and use real data. I love teaching biology because it directly relates to the world around us. We can walk out our door and see examples of what we are currently learning! When I am not teaching, I am at home with my husband and two boys. I enjoy reading and playing Mario Kart when I have time.
